Description of Project: A lesson describing the events leading up to the Great Depression.
Course: US History
Teacher: Todd Edmond (Acellus)
1. How does this project demonstrate what you have learned? Describe the process you went through to create this project and what you learned along the way.
In this lesson I learned the events leading to the Great Depression. The process I went through to complete this lesson was to first watch the lesson video. What I learned was the main reasons the Great Depression happened because people were losing their jobs to machines, the stock market crashed due to people selling their stocks at the same time, and companies that made products lost money since no one had money. The only people that benefited from the Great Depression was the wealthy people.
2. How could this work be improved? If you could redo this project, what improvements would you make?
This work could not be improved because I got all the answers right on the first attempt and got 100%.
3. How might this knowledge or skill help you in the future? Describe when and how you would use the skills learned from doing this project.
This knowledge will help me if I ever want to buy stocks.
4. List the 21st Century Skills you used during this project and explain how you used each of them.
I used Financial, Economic, and Business Literacy skills because I showed an understanding in economic forces that drive the United States.

Title of Project: 1980 Election
Description of Project: A lesson describing the 1980 election.
Course: US History
Teacher: Todd Edmond (Acellus)
1. How does this project demonstrate what you have learned? Describe the process you went through to create this project and what you learned along the way.
In this lesson, I learned about the 1980 election. The process I went through to complete this lesson was to first watch the lesson video. I learned the main reasons why Ronald Reagan won the election was because under President Carter the economy was stagnant, the Three Mile Island accident, and the Iranian Hostage Crisis. For these reasons Reagan's slogan was "Are you better off than you were four years ago?" Reagan easily won because of all of those factors and got 489 electoral votes and 43 million popular votes. Carter only got 49 electoral votes and 35 million votes.
2. How could this work be improved? If you could redo this project, what improvements would you make?
This work could not be improved because I got all the answers right on the first attempt and got 100%.
3. How might this knowledge or skill help you in the future? Describe when and how you would use the skills learned from doing this project.
This knowledge will help me in the future because I learned if the economy is good or bad is a big determining factor for a president being elected/ re-elected or not being the president anymore.
4. List the 21st Century Skills you used during this project and explain how you used each of them.
I used the Civic and Literacy Engagement skill because I showed an understanding of knowing what the determining factors are for a president being elected/ re-elected.
